What is a VA Home Loan?
Simply put, the VA loan is a $0 down payment home loan option available to Veterans, Service Members and select military spouses. VA loans are offered by private lenders and guaranteed by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
The US Government created the VA home loan in 1944 with the passing of the GI Bill, in order to help service member returning from battle to start their new lives and the ability to achieve their dream of home ownership. The VA Loan program has
benefitted over 25 million veterans and service members since its inception.
Today, the VA Loans allows veterans to continue to access the funds they need to purchase a home without needing a down payment or excellent credit, even in the face of lenders increasing their lending requirements.
